    Riverfront
I love a beautiful sunset along the river :) This image is SOOC, completely unedited, just like the raindrop photo below. Would anybody be interested in seeing before and after editing pictures?

  7. Anonymous asked: what program do you use to edit your photos? i've been trying to find a good one but i can seem to

What are you looking for in an editing program? Something simple to use or something more advanced? Does price matter?

Lightroom is my favorite at the moment :) Obviously Photoshop is an amazing program, but it can be a bit complicated if you don’t have the time to learn to use it. Both of these programs are pretty expensive, though. Before I got them, I was using Corel PaintShop Pro (Which I really like!) and it wasn’t too pricey. And there are some good free programs that you can download, such as PhotoScape (great for batch editing) and Gimp.

And if you can keep a secret, I will admit that I used picnik a lot when I first started out (with my point and shoot) and it’s actually fun to play around with! There’s a free version, but premium is only around $25 a year, and gives you a lot more options.

I’m sure there many more great programs out there, but these are the ones that I’m most familiar with :)

    Just a Drop
My husband and I wanted to go hiking after church one Sunday afternoon, and of course by the time we got to the park, it was raining. But we’ve had so many storms in Western Kentucky lately that we decided to just go for it :) So I wrapped my camera in plastic and away we went! If you’ve never gone hiking in the rain, I highly recommend it…so much fun! Towards the end of our hike, I saw this drop of water suspended in the spider’s web, and was determined to snap a picture. It took umpteen trillion tries to get the focus “just” right, but I finally did :) Isn’t God’s creation beautiful?

    Air Show

My husband’s boss invited us to go to an Air Show a few weeks ago, and of course I wanted to go, just to take pictures :D

She was still holding on, upside down!

    The Thunderbirds!

    Pretty cool, huh?
